Divine Synchronicity at Occupation Wall St. Tonight: Therapy at Liberty Plaza

During yesterday afternoon's general assembly a spokeswoman from the medical team was addressing the need for volunteer counselors at the “Occupy Wall St.” site.  This instantly caught my attention as I felt a calling to be involved [amazing how the internet can connect us to virtually anything going on in our social world at any given time].  Given my background as a therapist/coach I knew this could be something very suiting for me.

When I arrived this evening I went straight to the medical team located on the east side of liberty plaza.  A very nice woman who was eager to get me involved greeted me, took my information, and told me she would be in contact with me by the end of the day tomorrow.

[Now here is the kicker…read the following carefully and see how this all divinely fits together]

I asked her “what type of help has been needed here, what have you seen?” She told me that, generally speaking, the people who have been occupying this space are starting to really feel stressed and warn out given the constant high energy of the environment, rain, and general stressful conditions.  She also told me about an incident involving a man who was in serious need of attention from the night prior.  She told me he had lost his wife a few months ago and too cope he was using a heavy cocktail of painkillers and drinking heavily.  She told me that he was brought to medical last night after an incident of self-abuse.  She digressed and I assured her that I was ready to help in anyway possible.  We discussed a few ideas of how we could address general mental health issues in the plaza and shortly there after I left the medical area.

The night progressed; I met other occupants and participants.  It was a very cheery night filled with a lot of passion, courage, and non-fear sentiment.  As evening General Assembly meetings commenced I made my way to the GA area were everyone gathered to listen.  At some point during the GA meeting hunger struck and I walked over to the “kitchen” area to grab a donated dinner.  At this point I started to talk with a man who was also feeding himself.  Let’s call him Anthony for the sake of confidentiality.

One thing led to another and we started small talk.  I asked him if he had been occupying the space or simply coming down to visit during the day.  He told me he was coming here every night, but for reasons that I found out later, he was “busy during the day.”  His demeanor was lethargic and it seemed as if he drunk, not completely out of it, but he definitely was a little cloudy.  Regardless, he started to share with me his life story.  I got the feeling he trusted me and felt comfortable to open himself up.

He had told me that he had been out of work since June.  I asked him “why where you laid off?”   ...    He paused and then looked down at the ground… “It’s complicated, my wife died in June.”  He had been out of work and homeless since then because his life was to much to bear due to the emotional realization that the love of his life, his wife,  was no longer was alive.  He was a bartender before all of this occurred.  To give you an idea of his family situation: the day his wife died he called his father to tell him.  His father’s response was “Go to work, lets talk tomorrow.”  With nothing left in his swollen heart he resorted to pain killers and found himself unable to “function” in this “normal” society.  He was around 30 years old, homeless, and hopeless.  Occupying Wall St. seemed to be a suiting fit for him, given his knowledge and belief that corporate America is destroying the liberties this country was founded on.

{At this point it all hit me! Here is Anthony! This is the guy that the medical team told me about! And out of the thousand or so people that occupied the plaza I met him…I firmly believe there was a divine power that brought us together…so much so that in that moment, despite his tragic story, my ego lifted, and I was fully there with him, fully immersed in his journey…

He continued to tell me his story.  He told me how he used to love going to the super market with his wife because she was a great cook.  She was Northern Italian with blue eyes and blond hair and she cooked up a mean lasagna.  He told me how perfect she was, how beautiful she was, and how she was an angel to him because she kept him on a straight path.

He seemed to be really relieved to talk to someone who was not placing judgment on the situation and allowed him the space to simply speak his truth and too speak his experience without any worry. He even showed me how he was self abusive the night prior.

He told me of the tragedy of how she died, and to respect both Anthony and his deceased wife I will not share the story here…but let’s just say it is extremely tragic as she died in his arms.

We talked more for a short while before he told me he needed to find his sleeping bag because someone stole his the night prior.  I knew that at this point he had expelled enough of his experience.  He was now ready to step into the "moment beyond talking about his pain."  As we stepped away from each other he looked at me and stated, “Yo man, I feel a lot lighter right now, thank you, let’s talk again soon.”  My heart was filled with life and I looked at him and said “Thank you Anthony for sharing your story with me.  You are filled with great courage!” We walked away, and I realized that for that time I was lifted out of the intensity of the plaza and into something moving, serene, and divine.

Given my “position” now at the medical team at liberty plaza he knows how to reach me.  After this encounter I went over to the woman who told me about him and I told her about my “random coincidence” with bumping into him and having, pretty much, an impromptu therapy session.  We were both blown away by the divine synchronicity that had occurred!

I will be down at “Occupy Wall St.” most of my nights, connecting, giving, and receiving from all the real compassion that is unfolding there.  This is not some “hippy” movement.  This is a real, progressive movement, of loving folks who want the causes of injustice and profits over human need to end.  It is not just about reforming our economic system…it is about waking up the world to show everyone and each other that we are part of something greater than each individual…to realize that we are part of humanity and we should start acting like that and create a society that respects this fact to its highest degree.  I will state it here…Living and acting for the sake of profit will only divide us and destroy the world in which we inhabit…It is time to seek a different way…and that is what this movement is all about!

Society to person : Person to society : All to L O V E!

We will not truly advance as a society until all of its "parts" - all of its expressions of "consciousness" - all unite into "one" consciousness...a type of consciousness that weaves its energy through each and every conscious citizen of that spherical living ball floating in space...this weaving of energy is telepathy...and is the unifying pathway towards social enlightenment...for when we all connect without word...speak without sound...we have heightened our ability to communicate...and when we heighten our ability to communicate we heighten our ability to harmonize around peace, justice, and sustainability...for we know in this silent sense of communication what is important...and it is not survival for one, but it is survival for all. What we have then accomplished is developing an equilibrium between "mind" and "nature".

When we base our philosophical and ethical modes of expression around the notion that the betterment for everyone leads to a healthier planet what essentially happens is we create an environment where the individual thrives. Yet this type of unity only comes about when we instinctively know, and when we communicate and act out of this instinct, that we are all inherently tied to each other [in this perceptual state the conventions of society no longer condition us to be desensitized to our actions of cruelty, destruction, and above all discrimination].

As things stand now we "compete" against each other for the acquisition of "wealth." We are pinned against each other by the forces of a economic system that is hierarchical in nature...that enslaves us to the demands of a centralized authority, of which, taxes our sovereign rights as citizens, not as citizens of a country, but as citizens of a planet. We are forced, seemingly "without choice," into a system that has taxed the human soul for we are not free to live spontaneously amongst the land. This system has taxed the heart of Gaia, our mother, too becuase we are so out of touch with her and not sensitive to her ways of telepathic communication. For she keeps telling us all the same thing [that is if we listen]...that we are love...and that we are all one and united and all existing in a symbiotic system that is currently out of our grasp of understanding. When we realize that we cannot know everything through the mind we may begin to understand a reality to can be understood solely through feeling [without the interruption of thought]...in this clear space telepathic communication with nature can exist for thought is not interrupting the message delivered from the divine. Intuition can understand "telepathic" communication with the Earth...that is if we can let intuition shine through the conditioned mind.

The thing about the phenomena of telepathy is that it illuminates the facts that quantum physics has been pointing out. That is that we are all connected through an energy that holds all of our vibrations in-line. For if we can "communicate" through feeling, we can obviously communicate beyond the physical [and I am not talking about reading body language, but understanding each other from even being miles apart: communication produced vocally through the bodies vocal chords only helps the conscious individual to be reminded of there feelings: spoken word is often, or always depending how you look at it, a way of making the past present].

When we unite...when we realize our true nature as beings interconnected on a planet that inherently unites us we will be peering beyond the conditioned reality...we will be "advancing" into reality that puts aside the ego and its thought conventions for a sensitivity of heart...for communication of the heart starts in the soul of each and every person and ends within the roots of the cosmos herself.

[I put "advancing" in quotes becuase the fact is we are already advanced...we just need to listen to this aspect of existence in our hearts through a communication between soul and the soulful Earth. This type of communication is telepathic in nature. For everything propels its own existence through sensing, really sensing, the relationship inherent to us all...the relationship to our mother.]

Not until our communities are built around listening to this sensitivity will we know peace. As things stand now we bypass the callings in the heart instead to listen and honor a conditioned aspect of self that dwells in its isolation. This isolation is what creates this divide between you and I, I and nature...and it is this isolation that gets us to fear in a way to where we attempt to protect only our individual survival [or the "immediate family"]. This is a fear born in the mind that believes their is not enough for "my" survival. And what happens is the hoarding of resources between people and people and between nations and nations. The fear muddles out the ability for us to build our communities around the unifying principle of love. For even in the light of resource scarcity we fear not, for our love of each other triumphs any selfish individual gain for we will instinctively know that all is family...one big cosmic family. In this state of expression we have dropped the fear that has made us act in ignorant ways...for we are always inherently trusting in this state.

In the words of my wonderful friend Rachel after spending 10 days in the amazon with just a backpack full of gear...

"It feels so much better to love unselfishly and not to fulfill your desires then to fulfill them and disrespect what someone else is feeling" - on talking about hunger and love when she was without food except for what nature provided for her [she was also in the company of 3 others]. She has come to know and experience this love...for she trusts the grand divine and has realized her existence experientially as both a unit of love and a mover of interconnected consciousness...

She also stated that "living that was so hard and it hurt at first, and then I just cried and cried for the joy of the truth in it, and being able to practice it, and I am seeing everyone as more beautiful now, and when I get good news from my friends I want to jump for joy because they are happy."

The thing is we can only come to trust the power of love...Love brings us to the realization that we can trust, but this is what the human dilemma has all been about. The choice to trust or the choice to fear. Our time on earth here has been filled with experiences caught between the expression of love and hate, love and betrayal, love and fear...This duality tests the depths of human soul relative to this 3rd dimension. Yet we are missing our connection to non-discriminatory love...unconditional love. This is the type of love that my friend Rachel was coming in line with. For the joy of another made her endlessly joyous [hence there were no conditioned that filtered her experience of another...if she saw their joy she did not muddle it or try to transform it through the filter of her own ego, instead she embraced it as her own for she realized that there is no separation between her and anything. She learned to trust the love in her own heart as something real, something pure, something beyond ego]. This is the type of love that is pure for it holds the vibrations of trust within it...and only when we all trust each other...only when we have no more need for the endless desires of the ego...will a love exists that is unconditional in nature and that binds each and every one of us together.

The thing is that the love is there. It is "latent," masked up by our reluctance to change our ways and clear our insecurities. For we feel as if our neighbors are judging and our hence separate from us...that in reality is of little significance, but any exterior judgment is indicative of ones own inner judgment about themselves. And the cycle perpetuates...one judges another, they inevitably are judging themselves. And so, we fail to unify the cosmic Principal of love as the only expression of human consciousness. For in the distractions of our dramas we ward ourselves from coming to know soul in a non discriminatory way, for we actually believe our drama is real, that our drama is what makes us an "individual." And in this illusion we loose touch with that inner place of heart...

We existentially fear the demise of ego, yet it is the compete demise of ego that brings us to the stage of accepting that both individual and oneness coexist...can the perceptual experience of mind and "no-mind" coexist? Is this what higher consciousness is all about as we travel into the higher dimensions of reality?

Only when we realize that that both the ego and non ego can coexist... we step into 5th dimension consciousness...

For there was always a middle ground between the soul and the mind [the ego]...and now between the soul and mind/no mind [the ego, and now the ego/nonego]. This is how the consciousness expands...it moves into higher waves of dimension. Encompasses more. Yet in higher dimensions consciousness needs more "space" in between the astral chords of expression. The "2nd" and "4th" spots are empty spaces that enable comparison to exists. Think of the waves of consciousness as the noted of a musical scale. The "space" or "silence" between the astral waves of consciousness enable comparison to exist. Comparison enables discernment and the possibility of discernment to exist creates the opportunity for conscious awareness. Therein in lies the choice...For choice, as human conciseness is concerned, is understood when we observe the silent space within...for only in non-reactivity can we come to clear choices that lead to the "advancement" of the human heart. Only when the human heart advances will society advance...

Herein lies the ultimate choice to love or to fear.

When we trust we love. When we love we do not judge, for all we know is love. We discern...we do not "judge," we simply "know." When we break free of the need to judge anything about life...and give supreme trust in the cosmic path unfolding we walk into love. For it is the journey of you reflected back to you [back to consciousness - back to that energy within you that is discerning...for that discerning entity is "you" - a unifying aspect of the cosmos itself]...

Love and trust will bring us into greater depths, greater aptitude of human complexity...human communication. For in communication lies the greatest mirror of the cosmos. Communication is the mirror which brings you back to soul...back to yourself..and back to the seat of creation herself...back to the inner vortex of "God*"

*The grandest expression of consciousness that exists...

When our consciousness moves closer in line with "*the grandest expression of consciousness that exists" we hold a perceptual capacity that has greater gains, deeper depths, and wiser insights. For we know when we see...and we move to that "seeing" - for seeing drives "sensation" - from body to brain to soul...the body and brain being filters of soul...

Each filter brings a unique way for communication to be expressed. In our uniqueness we are "driven" in different ways...but all driven back to the same place...back to the expression of love...however unique...still l o v e.

L O V E! Is what will transform the world. It is as simple as that. For love breeds all that is blessed in this life. And love, with conscious intent of that love...with a depth of love so deep it transforms the mind into a beacon of sincere attention and unconditional discernment...is the energy which breaks our social tendency to not trust, to fear, and to judge in a way that separates oneself from everyone...and everyone from everyone...Love is what propels advancement...

But remember it is not just about human love...it is about cosmic love...earthly pagan love...and non-discerning conscious love with everything.

So love of Earth requires something more from us as we are in current relationship to her. It is all cultural, not technological. All about how our feelings drive our actions. We are either unconscious to the current reality or we become aware of the what is and move on...march on...blaze on to a new paradigm...a new social evolution...towards absolute relationship...back to the garden of Eden...Yet now as opposed to the days of Adam and Eve...we are both conscious and immersed in the oneness of the divine! For we have evolved ~ through the greatest teacher of consciousness ~ relationship...

For Love is found cosmically woven through all of existence...it just needs to be expressed, found, and cherished.

Again...love advances...

What the Soul Values

What we value is inherently subjective. Yet I feel that what the soul wants is universal. The desires of the soul manifests itself in a unique way dependent upon the conditions of someones life situation. Yet desire is still present. What is this desire? Is the desire an "existential" one? Does the soul simply want to understand itself? And what is a better way for the soul to do this other than to create in harmony within the movement of love... Too call forth those aspects of love from deep within to make them made manifest in the present moment. We can do this in our everyday actions with ourselves and with others, with plants, with animals, and with water for that matter. Love is not a thing, it is an experience. Can you not feel the reflection of yourself in the admiration of your hearts desire? Love is an eternal movement, for it is always taking shape and transforming into higher, more divine, forms of itself. This is the mirror of the soul, the mirror of the cosmos...and it is through this reflective process that the soul comes to know itself and know what it is that it is desiring.

Essentially the impulse of the soul is driven by love. How so? Well look at all of our actions...they are all based out of love...even our "hateful" actions...the ones that are done out of fear, division, and malice are in some way done out of passion. And it is passion that is the impulse that pushes the experience of love into existence. Yet, often times, we act passionately out of fear and we seek to hoard what we fear to lose. We may fear to loose love with a person so we act in a way that manipulates them, or control them. We may fear that we are going to loose our "wealth," so we seek to hoard it in this game we call "survival of the fittest." Wars are started this way too...it is because we fear to loose what we love that hatred may come to be. Yet look here...have we not than contorted love into fear...are they not two sides of the same coin?

Everything is done because people believe that it is right (no matter what it is). Fear is justified in the minds of those who honor it for they feel that they will become "less than" they are without what it is that they identify with. This is where the ego has the power to turn love into fear...harmony into dissonance. The ego can take the mask as "passion" (that is if passion is to be controlled by the fearful mind) yet this passion is subjective to the person.

Regardless, it is passion that is the impulse for the person to express what it is they think they feel. There is no "right" and no "wrong." All things just are, but remember...choosing how to express ones life should be done in a way to whereas the person listens to the calling in there soul without the filter of the mind...it is then that they are in touch with what is divine...it is then that the individual (who essentially is an essence of the divine soul) comes to know oneself...it is than that no acts of malice, greed, hatred, and fear can exist. For the language of the soul is the desire of God (God being you, I , and the All). And would the seat of creation...that being the all, have a passion to see its own creation live out the disharmony of division, inequality, and dissociation of itself through identification with the illusory mind?

It is important to realize that to think and too feel are two different things. The mind is what creates all the division in the world, the mind is what breeds hate...and it is the mind that confuses the message of the soul. So listen not to the mind and listen instead to that silent voice inside...it may be difficult to hear it...so quiet your mind, breathe, and relax...take yourself away from the things that weigh you down by simply stepping aside from them. Allow your mind to run rampant, but pay it no mind attention (realize that these thoughts are just temporary conditions). Simply focus on the breathe entering and leaving your body...maybe than you will feel something you never have felt before...maybe than you will feel what your soul really values...what you really value...

If we than are in touch with that silent place within...is there any room for the mind to create division between you and I (for all division and the social institutions created around those divisions: the ways of conventional economy, religious institutions, and the like)? And without division...have we not found peace? Again, it seems to me that Peace, Love, and Truth are interchangeable...

On Romance

Every moment that love is expressed is unique. Every partnership and the love that it expresses is also unique. Romance is the passion for love. Yet romance knows no boundary. Romance is the pursuit of expressing love in its highest and most unique form that pertains to the experience in the moment you are experiencing it. What does that really mean? Well it is simple really...that the pursuit of love and romance is something that can occur in every moment of your life and it is when you share this zest for life, this romance for life with a romantic partner that the two become entranced with each other, with their moment together, and with the beauty that is their unique expression in the eternal moment of now.

Couples bring to the relationship what it is that they feel and honor from the inside. This individual essence, coupled with an others unique individual essence, builds the flame of desire and romance. But it takes the two being true to one another on the individual level to allow that real passion and desire too spring forth. A relationship is not a default experience, but rather it is a moment to moment experience. I often criticize the institution of marriage because it often times can make us unconscious to the relationship as it is NOW. This is not to say that there is anything "wrong" with marriage, just hear me out...because I often see how it pushes people into an state where they become less passionate about "their" partner. Sometimes it does push the two to grow (often it does this), but this does not have much to do the institution marriage. On the contrary it has more too do with the couples conscious intent to grow together...

The first definition of marriage in the dictionary is as follows: the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law. The third definition is as follows: an intimate or close union. Now the first definition of marriage is that it is a state of being united though a contract. Yes it is consensual and it signifies a relationship, but often the "contract" builds a sense of arbitrary bond (recognized by law) that is "unbreakable." A sense of psychological security is created. There is nothing "wrong" with this...but does this security project the couples pairing into the "future" so that they may forget about really focusing on each other now? This is of course subjective and unique to the pairing.

Now, not that I do not think there is beauty in declaring to someone that they desire to be with someone for the entirety of their lives, but if this "contract" becomes a security in the sense that the couple begins to become less conscious of the moment, less aware of their relationship as it is now, because it is secure through a "contract," can it not have the possibility of taking them away from the moment of Now...from being aware and conscious of what they are building in this very moment?

There is no "goal" in any relationship...there is only the projection of one upon another, which creates a two way mirror for the pairing...can we romanticize this? Can we be in love with that fact that relationships bring us not only closer to another human being, but also to ourselves?

Regardless if a couple is married or not, it is a healthy relationship if they are conscious to stay passionately interested in one another, romanticize the feeling that they bring each other closer to understanding their own individual essence...for the third definition of marriage simply states that marriage is a intimate or close union...This states that the partnership is more of an action than an idea held together by a contract...and that is what I empathize here, is that relationship be an action, an intent to build individually through the relationship. Because where is the romance if the partnership does not push us to become more of who we are and push us to help the other become more of who they are?

Remember romance does not exist just in the realm of people partnering with each other, romance is an in-the-moment experience of having a passion for whatever it is that you experience. Poets romanticize words, artists romanticize their creations, and seekers romanticize truth. But how are we to bring forth beautiful words, beautiful works of art, or wonderful truths if we are not to make our selves vulnerable to the life that is all around us. Being vulnerable is an important aspect of romance. So what essentially does it mean to be vulnerable? It means to let go, to let the defenses down, and to let go of dogmatic thought because all filters must be done away with or minimized to the best of our conscious ability. When we do this we allow unfiltered raw perception to take hold. The emotional aspect of ourselves takes "it all in," and we are brought to a heightened experiential awareness of the life that is all around us. And if we are to be vulnerable with another, we let down our defenses so that the other can experience who we are (this is also the basis of trust). For how are we two see the other and ourselves in the two way mirror if the room is foggy with our defenses?

This is being vulnerable and it allows for a romantic life, it allows for pure life, and it allows for the highest truths that we hold for ourselves to become manifest.

The Metaphysics of Consciousness; Into the Acension

NOTE: This is in the process as being published as an e-book.

"If you take the leap from your understanding of life as being "biological" in nature, to an expanded awareness of consciousness in non-biological forms [meaning that non-biological entities are conscious], you will understand the infiniteness in non-biological forms, you will understand the infinite splendor of life in the Cosmos of Soul." - Patricia Cori

Intro
Everything is conscious. Consciousness differs though to the degree to which it expresses itself; meaning to what degree is it consciously employed and subsequently made manifest.  Consciousness is employed through the conscious force manifesting its will.  Everything in existence, both currently perceptible and not, is conscious because within everything is a creative life driving force.  Furthermore, everything is inherently connected when we consider the fact that this creative life driving force is the force that sustains all of existence.  Consider the movement within the conscious mind of a human to make conscious decisions to bolster his or her life as well as the plant that exhibits movement to sustain its own life.  There is a force at work here too which can be tapped into too varies degree of conscious control.

Using the example of a decomposing tree exemplifies the inherent interconnectivity apparent to all things.  The movement of decomposition, in regards to the once “alive tree,” allows life to meander through the tree, into the soil, and subsequently into the new life it supports as the future comes to be.  The tree, to the best of our knowledge, may not have a self-reflective consciousness that enables it to experientially witness its own life and death to the degree that we humans can, but it nonetheless is conscious due to the fact that it contains within it a life force that enables “it” to progress its own life.  A self-reflective consciousness is not the basis of consciousness.  I believe this is what Patricia Cori was describing in the quote above.  We consider the Earth as a whole to be unconscious, but as we shall see as we proceed, consciousness is as subjective as anything else we try to conceptualize.

This book is about understanding the relationship of consciousness to life and the varying degrees in which consciousness becomes manifest.  This book is about realizing that the more conscious the conscious individual becomes of consciousness itself a progression takes place.  The more conscious the person become of the “life force” within the more able the person becomes at manifesting a reality to which they desire.  I like to think of this as the expansion and progression of consciousness.  I am eluding to the fact that humans, as they become "evolved" and progress, they become more able to shape reality in a way too which they thought we thought was not possible.  In a sense human consciousness has enabled us to discover and implement many great advances to which seem “unnatural.”  In this it seems as if we have progressed and evolved further than the nature we find around us.  Yet as we go on in this book, we will see that this egoic conception of human consciousness is what has caused us too separate ourselves from nature and thus create a dual state.  The renaissance of human consciousness expansion is about connecting back with the natural wisdom of the Earth.  Pairing archaic wisdom with conventional wisdom is what moving out of duality and into the new era of humanity is all about.  This is what the Ascension that is upon us is all about.

On Love and Sex

As a society we have become obsessed with the sensate pleasures of sex. We have physical bodies that incarnate in a physical world and of course we are to enjoy the physical pleasures, we would not be human if we did not, but it often seems that we have lost sight of the pleasures of the human union as they relate to the heart felt experiences that we really do yearn for. When we become aware of our higher nature, when we remember that we are souls that incarnate in body, do we experience the sexual union on a deeper level. With a refinement of our energies, meaning when we awaken the aspects of self that are not contained by the ego and conditions, does the sexual exchange become more of a heart experience. Because no longer do we want to poses our lovers, no longer do we use our lovers for an orgasm. The mind believes it must contain the other in order to "have" the other.

Sex, in our conventional world, has often become a means of emotional barter. When we have sex with our partners there is a momentary emotional ease. Through this act we believe that the person we are with really "wants to be with us." For we have brought each other to orgasm and we temporarily reinforced that there is "chemistry." If we are acting from a place where we need mental confirmation, we are driven by the mind. And the mind, the rational part of us, cannot feel, so therefore it has no basis for fulfillment and hence it always wants more. This is the ego...

Sex and relationship from this point of view is of a lower vibrational existence. Meaning relationships that operate at this level do so at a level of the lower chakras. And because we are inherently spiritual beings incarnating in a physical world, there are aspects of our existence that are left "unactivated." We may not even be aware of this, but become aware of your feelings before, during, and after sexual union (even days after) and see how you are relating to your partner. Is there emotional security in this act? And as common as it may be, this feeling of emotional security through sex, does the feeling of temporal security only exist because there is an existential gap within our own being? Is there a part of us, that is independent of the relationship, that is not whole? When we live within the relationship realm are we bartering fleeting emotions that arise during the sexual act? Do we believe that this is how one posses another? Do we believe that this is how we are to be in relationship, to live our unions through the fleeting emotions created from the mind? Have we forgotten about the subtle love of the soul? Forget what you know, what you believe, and you will be re-awoken to the endless love which finds itself apparent in gratitude for your own life, for your relationships (both platonic and romantic), and for the earth that sustains your existence. You forget when you quiet the mind and allow the "language" of the soul to surface.

We may even rebel against the statements above. We may rebel and say that there is nothing more pleasurable in this physical world than sex and so therefore I seek to find the partner that will bring me the best sex. We may state that it is only human to have unrelenting desires, that it is only human to live from the ego. And of course these statements are true, because they may be true to you. Your life becomes manifest through the choices you make and the thoughts you identify with. But I ask, is there something more to living through your thoughts? Is there something beyond the ego? Something beyond the conditional relationship? Is there a type of relationship that asks for nothing because the partners are already fulfilled in there own personal awakening?

For the awoken person already knows that he or she is inherently in relationship with everyone and everything - so why not love that which he or she senses...For this sensing is who you are...The thoughts are mere abstractions...The feelings beyond the thoughts is what is real...Cannot you not feel the relationship all around you? Do not ask the mind for confirmation...just feel this...

When we are no longer reactive to the ego and the conditioned thought paradigms that "the ego" learned through our emotionally repressive society does something within us become alive...This is the way of being that is not bound to the mind and to the emotions that the mind creates. It is very important to awaken to the fact that the mind creates the majority of the feelings we feel.

There may be a moment during sexual union where you look into your partners eyes and realize the ecstasy of their existence. Essentially this is you witnessing your own beauty through theirs (This is the realization of beauty in the now). This is union of a higher vibration. You tingle with excitement for this person makes you feel more alive, makes you feel more like who you are! Because through this union you feel the inherent interconnectedness of the ALL of reality.

Take note that I use the word through instead of in ("Because through this union"). Because it is through our intimate relationships that you come to know about relationship in general. I use through to describe the relationship as a rite of passage, a passage into a deeper sensing of experience. Instead of using the word "in," which could mean that the relationship brings you in, contains you. A healthy relationship will set you free. A healthy relationship will enable you to experience a deeper reality...A reality that moves through you into a realm beyond you. To the contrary, an unhealthy relationship will contain you and bring you in. The latter usually happens due to an insecurity that either both or one of the partners have because they feel that they will be "less than" without their partner (can you see the conditional relationship here? - and this is not to say we would not be sad without our partner - that is something completely different - dependence and grief are two different things). So therefore they act to emotionally barter with their partner. This leads to disharmony between the partners as it manifests in ways both subtle and obvious. There is a transference that occurs to where both partners feel the existential void.

RE-MEMBER: you are a part of the whole, and therefore you are the whole, inextricably tied to all of existence...You are already the everything...and already you are satisfied as you are a movement of love within the fabric of creation...That is, if you let go of the confining aspects of the mind that occur when we identify with our thoughts and allow yourself to be free and be here NOW.

The "honeymoon" phases of our relationships unfortunately often fade quickly. But they fade quickly because we become trapped within the memory of these experiences. These moments are fleeting because we often try to identify these experiences through the mind. We seek more of these ecstasy experiences with our partners because it felt good on a very heart felt level. But when we "search" for these experiences we are employing the mind to create something that it cannot for what we are looking for is already in front of us (that is if we are sensitive to realizing what we see without the mind grappling with what we witness and changing it to the expected).

So to keep our relationships fresh, exciting, and "new," we have to be fresh, exciting, and new in our own being. And we do this by being in the NOW, for the NOW is inherently fresh, new, and exciting. This is because it is not tied to any stagnant thought, and it is simply the witnessing of the awe-some existence. So stay aware and stay present and do not live your life or experience your partner with how you "believe" they are. Instead see them in this moment, for this is who they are. No word or thought can explain who they are. They simply are. And in these moments, when the mind is silent, the union between the two becomes profound. The sexual union becomes more than physical pleasure. Physical pleasure is just the base of this experience. Light and love will permeate this union. Freedom will come through the love and passion will tie the two in solidarity and companionship, for the act of sex will become a celebration of this grand experience. This is the experience of the experiential knowingness that all is one. There is supreme gratefulness in act of conscious, now-centered, ego-less, sexual union! So look at your partner as if you have no idea who they are...because they are not contained by words and thoughts...and you may then begin to see who they really are...

For they are nothing but beautiful...

The Cosmic Family

The closing in on "time" will bring us closer to our true nature. As we become more aware of the stillness which is the NOW, we become connected through feeling. If all is connected, if all is interwoven, how can anything be bound to time? Of course, there is a separation between the past, present, and future, but this is only understood through thought. Of course the past is still alive, for we can witness it now through the remains of yesterdays creations, but in the grand perception of things these three realms (past, present, and future) mend together to become witnessed as the eternal moment of now. For what was in the past lives it self through the creations that surround us today, and what will be the future will only be an extension of what is right now. So the past, present, and future are united. This is where time stops as we understand it (as a means of division)...Now we can understand this conceptually, but this is really a feeling experience. And it comes when the mind is quieted and has stopped categorizing everything that it witnesses. Yet all of this is a choice...

Yet, the duality, as much as it is a hindrance to our awakening (that is if we are unconscious to its purpose) it inherently is a blessing. For duality is the cornerstone of our mind dominated way of living. Living with a conceptual understanding of things is what separates us from the "animals." But it is only through experiencing the separation of our individualness can we evolve and grow so that we can experience the communion between all on a very deep level. For example, how are we to know pleasure without pain, how are we to know good without bad. The duality will always exist, but the whether or not we let it tether us to an existence were we see ourselves as not connected, where we see that we are not part of the weave which is nature, is a choice. We can choose to live in the blessed illusion that was set before us at the dawn of Adam and Eve and be "unconscious", or we can evolve to a place where we witness, through feeling, that you and I are the same. Is there not supreme joy in knowing that everything you see, everyone you meet is part of your cosmic family? Would we not build a more harmonious society if the foundation of our choices as a society honored this experiential feeling? I will say... that I LOVE YOU ALL for what you are, all that you will be, and all that you could be!

The love you have for another inevitably becomes the love you create for yourself. Even when we live our lives primarily through the rustling and bustling of our minds does our essence, the soul level of our being, know this inherent reciprocity and make its way through the filter of thoughts. Because if you do for another you feel a sense of joy in your heart. You did not have to think to create this feeling of joy, for it was born in the act of giving. Giving to another, and even giving to yourself, is naturally human because it evokes a feeling of joy within us. When you feel this you know you have tapped into the feeling of your soul. This is beyond any thought and is not bound to any measure of time (for it is not dependent on any condition of the past or future - we may give and do good acts because we think it is the right thing to do and we then hope to get something out of it, but this is tied to time and conditions, for we feel that if we keep doing good things that good things will happen to us in the future...and whether or not this is true is of no relevance, because during these times we are bound to time, we are bound to the mind and we loose sight of the beauty and joy that we can feel in the right now!).

Sometimes we often feel as if we need to do the right thing because if we don't we are a "bad" person. Sometimes we feel we need to do the right thing in order to be right in the eyes of God, as if God is judging us and placing our entrance to "heaven" based on the contingency that we follow "his" plan. Are these actions not based in fear?

Witness this...what God, whom essentially is the movement of creation, could ever judge a thing that was created by itself? How could creation banish and judge the thing it has created itself without judging itself?

Do you not see...that you and I, the trees and rivers, and the stars in the sky are GOD! For we are all the movement that is life...This understanding of seeing yourself as "god-self" only comes to be when you realize that your choice is creation it self (which is born from the realm of duality, so bless the duality...)! Your choice, or lack thereof, is creative. Hence, we create as we live. The society we see is the accumulation of choices we have made in the past, but it is our choice right now to create whatever it is that we want that brings us into the now. Your life, our society, and the cosmos as a whole, are tied to this universal fact. That you are God, creating through the choices you choose. Yet, the "final" product of these choices, which is always is the NOW...is WHO WE ARE! So do not fear who you are, be excited that you are here now...choosing who you want to be!

Maybe through the creative process can we realize how tied we all are, how much of family that we really are! When I find myself awake to my perceptions, I bless the illusory separateness that I see between you and I...because I know, through this duality that we are able to experience one another...but it is the joy in my heart, that I feel through attending to you or attending to myself that makes me realize that on a very real experiential/feeling level...THAT WE ARE FAMILY. This is Love, is it not?

If someone acts in a way that we find offensive or hurtful, simply realize that this is their pain that is being projected onto you. There is pain in living in complete immersion in the duality (this is unconsciousness). There is an inherent pain, an inherent longing, in not being conscious of the feeling that we are all one. So, if someone acts in a way that you find disturbing, hurtful, or the like...realize that this comes from a place of pain within them...they do not remember who they are (RE-MEMBER)...they have not yet found there way into the light. Bless them for this is their journey too...Maybe you too can bring them into the light of love! This is our birthright through the universal re-membrance that we ARE ALL FAMILY...

The Duality of "Awareness" and Thought

Awareness: as a state of being...
Thought: as a state of mind...

I do so frequently forget - forget to be aware of the things I see - because so often my "awareness" is funneled through the filter of thought and memory. There are of course no cut and dry rules to observation and awareness, but I do realize myself getting lost in my own thoughts. Yet I seek another state of being that bypasses this process. I seek a state of awareness where thoughts and judgments begin to dissolve. The key then to achieving this while my mind is in analytic mode, it seems, is to observe the judgments, but to see the unimportance of them. Because simply put, these thoughts are illusions in the sense that they are temporal. For what I see in the visual plane is what it is and nothing more. It extends into the eternal moment of now. The application of words to the visual experience only limits the actual experience, by funneling this inherently experiential experience through the filter of words which are inherently limited themselves. As Krisnamurti stated, "you cannot know the unknown through the process of the known." What he was eluding to is that we cannot observe the divine through the lens of the collected known (thoughts, ideas, and memories).

More practically speaking, my ego, although an aspect of my being that should not be condemned, engulfs my being in its "drama" and funnels the energy that could be used to be "aware" into the area of thought and limited existence.

*I state that the ego should not be condemned because when you judge the ego as something bad or something that should be changed, what happens is only the perpetuation of more ego. So when I say to myself, I should not judge myself like this, I kept alive the very force that I desire to dismantle. Yet, what makes things interesting is the observation of the paradox I find myself in...For in my state of awareness - where I sense and feel that "all is one," I loose sight of the ego as if it never existed...but the days are eternal and I am drawn back down into my state of ego (the state of relative existence) because I do witness myself as a separate entity. And on many levels this warrants the discriminating judgments, both internal and external. So the paradox seemingly exists; that I am both a piece of existence, an entity, as well as the whole itself (that is if I am to honor feeling and not just rational intelligence, for "awareness" in the way I tell of it is a feeling and not necessarily a thought, although thoughts may follow). Amazingly, both the relative and the oneness exist simultaneously.

This is something that I admit is beyond my current understanding...How both a sense of separateness and oneness can exist at the same time (non-duality)...Because I have my own ability to think and decide for myself apart from the rest of the masses. The mind understands that both I and the rock are separate, but from a grander more divine perspective I realize that the relative world could only possibly be experienced if there were a "fabric" that holds it all together. This divine "fabric" is what I sense when I sense the "oneness." Because only when I bring myself away from my thoughts can I sense this; only when I see beyond the relative can I sense the whole. And it is the senseing of this fabric and the knowing that I am a part of this fabric brings me to the realization that all is one.

And what does this sensing feel like? It feels like love. For what else would hold existence together if not love? For what emotional energy would we attribute to the phenomena of having the desire to live in the first place? To illustrate: as the trees climb higher to capture the sun, as the fish eludes its predator, as the people procreate... I wonder why? to live? but why live if not propelled by the force of love... and we should realize that the fear of non-existence is nothing more but the fear of not being able to experience oneself anymore. Are we really afraid of death, or are we really afraid of not being able to experience existence?...is that not fueled love?. And through this feeling is what brings all of this together and an experiential understanding of the "ether" that holds all of this that we call life, together. All of this relative and oneness stuff... For the basis of our relationships are inextricably tied to this natural experience.

From this realization we can begin to see how blessed we are for being different (in all capacities). This relative existence gives us the ability to see how we exist among others and it therefore allows us to see, in a greater capacity, how we choose to live and create who we are; for our differences create the contrast in our lives. For we relate to the relative...This is our blessing, our gift, and although this may make us feel alone and isolated from time to time, although it creates the ability for extreme differences and prejudice to form, and for wars to exist....it creates the opportunity for ultimate connectivity, unity, and the experiential realization of love. So the wise see that the greatest gift of the relative is our ability to choose how we relate or not relate to what we experience...and in that we are only left with choice...The choice to be aware or to be reactive...The choice to live from love or from fear....and the choice to connect through our differences - for we could never experience ourselves if it was not for the other.

So in conclusion, awareness is both an activity of thought and non thought. It can allow us to experientialy experience the oneness all around us and within us and help us live and base our lives on this glorious experience or it can dictate our lives based on our beliefs and thoughts so that we become reactive. The former seems more pleasing, yet our egos are tied up in the latter, for who are we if we are not to relate? The answer, from an intellectual capacity, still eludes me...but the feeling most certainly does not.
